Challenges and Pain Points:
The existing CCTV system was outdated (analogue) and had multiple brands, which created issues with playback. The installation was poorly done, with unattractive surface-clipped cabling. The church required an upgraded system that provided easy access to footage and could handle large events with ease.
Solution:
Nova conducted a site survey and recommended upgrading the system to high-definition IP cameras for clearer facial recognition and better event coverage. We installed two monitors in the main office and manager’s office, allowing staff to easily view footage from any camera on-site. Additionally, we integrated the system to allow all cameras to be viewed from one central location, eliminating the previous issues of using multiple recorders.
Outcome:
- Improvement: The client can now monitor all 57 cameras through a single system, improving both accessibility and ease of use.
- Additional Benefit: Nova installed flood sensors in the church’s basement, which notify the client when water levels rise, integrated with the CCTV system.
